Ethiopia welcomed in her new millennium on September 11, 2007. The celebrations were riotous. Traditional dance met modern hip-hop, and a country internationally known for famine and war became an unexpected hope for an African future. It was a new chance for Ethiopia. It was a time for her people abroad to come home.
