Yelena Sokolovskaya's friends and acquaintances see her life to be a fairy tale in clover: she has a well-off husband, a wise mother-in-law, and a son, brilliant student and athlete. And more, the birth of a daughter is coming. But a car accident smashes this fairy tale into smithereens, and reality reflects in the splinters: betrayal, lies, meanness, loneliness. Only little Masha and her father Andrey are able to save Elena from falling into the abyss of insanity.
